Senior High Links

Senior High Links is a program for students with significant cognitive delays.  The major focus in Links is that students work at their own pace and each student is on an "Individual Program Plan".  A team approach is used to build on students strengths and to set them up for success.  The classes are small, with many opportunities for one on one interaction between students and staff.  Students are genereally integrated into the mainstream for option courses with support.  There are opportunities for integration into the Knowledge and Employabilities core courses as well.  Also available to Links students are on campus and off campus work study placements.  A key component to the Senior High Links progam is a focus on practical daily living skills. Positive reinforcement, nurturing, small group or individual counseling, immediate feedback, and building on successes are vital to the program.
